Dr.C.Ramasamy, Former Vice Chancellor,Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

Prof. Dr .C. Ramasamy, Former Vice- Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University & Past President, Indian Society of Agricultural Economics, He was two times Vice- Chancellor of Tamilnadu Agricultural University(TNAU) , Coimbatore during 2002 to 2008. And also a Former Member, Planning Commission, Govt. Of Tamil Nadu Member, High Level Committee, Government of Tamil Nadu  for revamping the secondary education in Tami Nadu State. Member of Academic Council, IARI, New Delhi Member of Consortium led by Cornell University, USA to prepare proposals for grants from global institutions meant for developing countries.


He obtained his Ph.D degree in 1980 and was educated both at University of Minnesota, USA and at TNAU. He served as Director, Centre for Agricultural and Rural Development Studies, TNAU. Dr. Ramasamy was also  Indian Coordinator for Agricultural Innovation Project implemented by USAID, Cornell University and Sathguru Foundation (Hyderabad) from 2011-2016. Published 73 research papers, six books, and 51 chapters in books.

 

 

 

Dr.P.G.Chengappa, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.

Dr. P.G.Chengappa is one of the leading Agricultural Economists of the country. Has served as the Vice Chancellor, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru. He was a visiting professor at the Universities of Reading, Wales, Iowa State University and Purdue. He was appointed as the National Professor by ICAR He is a Policy Economist specialized in agri-business and trade.


He has published over 100 research papers in national and international journals. He was the President (Elect), Indian Society of Agricultural Economics (2012) and President, Agricultural Economics Review Association, New Delhi (2013-16). He is the consultant to several International organizations, like IFPRI Washington, International Plant Genetics Resource Institute (Rome), International Rice Research Institute (Manila), DSE Germany and FAO. Independent Director of Tata Coffee Limited, Sam Agri Ltd and Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.

 

 

 

Dr.S.Prabhukumar, Former Director, ATARI- ICAR, Benagluru&Ludhiana.

Dr.S.Prabukumar, Former Director of ATARI, ICAR, Bangalore and Ludhiana. Dr.S.Prabhu Kumar Sir had his Ph.D in Agricultural Extension, He has served as Director for Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) of 11 states for ICAR.


During his tenure Sir has established 42 New KVKs in the country. 11 KVKs at National Level and 5 KVKs at Zonal Level have bagged Best KVK awards during his tenure Significantly Sir has achieved several awards - University Gold Medal for higher OGPA (4.00/4.00), Dr. Dwarakinath and Dr. K.A. Jalihal Gold Medal for the Best student in Agricultural Extension, and Fellow of Society of Extension Education, Agra.

 

 

 

Dr.V.Puhazhendhi, Former Professor, Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea.

Dr.Puhazhendhi has done Ph.D in Agricultural Economics, and an Independent Consultant Development Economics, Consultant for International Projects, Sir was a Professor in Konkuk University , Seoul, South Korea, Major part of service was in NABARD for 25 years Sir was the Consultant in International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) Washington, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Kuala Lumpur, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Canadian International Development Agency Canada (CIDA).
